The thing about L.I.E.S. releases is that they despise the consumer and will either release tough as nails gritty bangers or absolutely unlistenable/unplayable noise. This one manages to combine both, resulting in some extremely interesting experimental techno imbued with a whole lotta NYC grit. - JP

Electro bangers on the inimitable Dark Entries. It's darker than midnight, and imbued with a sense of mutant sleaze that is as irresistible as it is abrasive. - JP
A deep, mechanical affair from Omar S, as he takes these tracks, drowns them underwater, and then presents these mutated children to unsuspecting dancers. It's the sound of the production line. - JP
Ultra deep chuggy goodness from some absolute legends of Detroit. Whilst the a-side is brilliant in its own right, Carl Craig imbues with with a more cosmic feel on the b-side. Prepare to get lost. - JP
Gorgeously lush slab of Loft-style disco goodness. Subtly psychedelic and spaced out, it feels like a warm hug in the wintertime. Yet another brilliant Patrick Adams record. - JP
