Back before the term "lo-fi" really screwed things up for those who like a bit of rough around the edges house, there was leftfield. Anthony Naples was a master of this sound, and this is a gorgeously quirky testament to this. It sounds absolutely nothing like his current output (which is also amazing, go check that out) - JP

Four sides of stripped back jackin madness from Omar S, with some slight acid touches here and there. This is the sound of the warehouses of the distant past. - JP

Brilliant release on Mahogani, and is a typically diverse outing. The records moves through hip hop, dub, house and funk, all the while retaining that signature Detroit soul. - JP
